A study by the University of Colorado Denver Business School says attractive women face discrimination when they apply for jobs where appearance is not seen as important, or are considered "masculine." For the study, participants were given a list of jobs along with photos of applicants and were asked to sort them according to their suitability for the role. Researchers found that good-looking women were ruled out for jobs as an engineer, prison guard, director of finance and director of security, along with other job titles. Attractive men did not face the same discrimination in the study and were always at an advantage.
